Sharing the same passion...

If I have to mention someone who really share my passion about photography, in just a second I would come up with three persons: Ale Guzmán, which turns out to be my best friend, Paola Pederzini, who is a great friend also, and Kasper Hessels, who is my actual boss.

These three persons really enjoy photography in all matters, as well as me, specially when we talk about of "capturing the right moment" or framing a "lucky shot". This passion goes beyond a hobby, it involves an emotional aspect, and a way of expressing our way to observe or perceive the world through out our view, through out our senses, through out our own and personal perspective.

Ale, Paola, and Kas had share with me numerous of their shots and as a summary I must say that all of them are AMAZING. Yes, they have the talent; yes, they have the tools; but for me, in order to be a great photographer, passion must be the main element to standout in a photographer, and the three of them have it!

For that reason and more, I dedicate this post to this great people and share their work, they art, or better mention: their world as their eyes see it... with YOU!

1900s: à La Française...

Looking into my photography collection I realize that one of the oldest, yet romantic and fashionable ones, lay on a Parisian background. How come that in that time most of the photographers were inspire by l'amour and in la vie en rose soulement?

I know that Paris gives you the right atmosphere for mixing the romanticism with a delightful taste of trend and à la mode, and still remains to be one of the top locations for photographers.

At the beginning of the early 1900's, many Fashion houses, such as Chanel or Dior, tend to portrait their collections in a oh la la sense, brimming the very francais essence of its clothes, of its nature, of where they came from, of what their designers and creators believe in.

Photographers, such as Jaques Boucher or Mark Shaw, captured amazing shots during that time, helping these renowned brands to become famous and prestigious.

Above I share with you three images I really like, for its angle, for what emerges from each, and for all the consistency in just a frame.

A Voyage Through Out The Lens...

During the past days I've been experiencing lots of photographic moments, from the not so professional ones to the very "wannabe" expertise photos shoots that famous photographers do. You might be thinking,  what is Mariana talking about? And I might said that, inspired by the trip I took a couple of days ago I experienced some of the most enjoyable moments in my life, full of fun, friends, sharing, laughs, and of course, PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

I went to the Bahamas with a group of friends, and every single moment we wanted to capture it through the lens! That made me realize how important is to freeze the moment in a squared digital format to remember of the pleasant time we had.

My point is to highlight the greatness of photography, not only for the artistic and impact it has on the eye of who is watching them, the greatness come from something deeper, something emotional and that will remain on our minds and heart for a true lifetime. Thanks to photography we share, we laugh, we make fun of ourselves, we reconstruct, we relive, we remember, and we enjoy... How come that this is one of the few things that are so gratifying to the photographer? And absolutely more gratifying for the ones involve in the process of framing a time of their lives.

Here I want to share one of the very cool moments we just had...

A photograph worth more than 1000 words...

Despite the impact of writing (as I am doing right now), a photograph worth more than even writing a complete book... Images have a stronger impact in humans because of all the elements that fused together and represent as a whole. These "elements" might be spontaneously arranged, as a landscape photograph, or some "elements" can be planned, as a advertising photograph is. In fact, I could say that every picture taken is planned, some of them take time, some others take just instants...

What does PHOTOGRAPHY means 4 you?

As in many things, each one of us has a very personal opinion about things, about activities, and about everything that surround us. For me, as you might noticed, PHOTOGRAPHY is part of my daily life (or at least I try to); is a must, specially in the greatest & most important events of my life. In an easy way to say it, photography is:

                               P   -  portraits
                               H  -  history
                               O  -  observe
                               T  -  treasure
                               O  -  originality
                               G  -  graphic
                               R  -  reality
                               A  -  amazing
                               P  -  passion
                               H  -  hobby
                               Y -  YOUnique

AMARCORD, FASHION COLLEZIONE
By Patrizio di Renzo

Patricio di Renzo is an italian photographer famous for its exceptional photographs inside the fashion world. This photograph is part of its collezione "Amarcord" in which creativity and fantasy out stand from the classical scenarios of a fashion shooting.

Particularly, what I really like from di Renzo is how his photographs keep away from realism, transporting us to a imaginative world full of fantasy, where puppets and dolls are the main characters...

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving.  What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything".

The magic of photography...

Photography let us remember about our greatest moments and share it with family, friends “the beloved ones”, and even though the ones that do not even care about us but just are curious of new images.

As I believe, photography is the only source that can capture reality and make everyone look it in a singular way. Photography is mischievous and tricky, sometimes can make look something ugly in a better way and sometimes something beautiful in not its best way, just to say so.

But that’s why photography is so cool; the mystery behind it is later on reflected in a explosion mixed of feelings, emotions, sensations and experiences, capable of interfering with the most sensitive part of humans.

What do you think about this pic?

For many is just capturing the moment, for others it is more than that…

For the lovers of photography (considering me as one of them, or a fan should I say) we believe photography as a passion; it is a representation of reality trapped in time, angle and space all get together in a squared frame, making it unique, with their own essence that will never can be repeated.

A photograph is a fusion of reality and fantasy; it is something that has already happened, and that is stocked in an image that will let us remember about it. Photography should be considered as a frozen memory, coming from a great experience or from a not so good one. A photograph is mischievous, allowing the observer to judge from its point of view generating controversy and a diversity of opinions about the interpretation of the image.

Photography let us dream and wish of what we want, of our future, of our role models, likes and interests; it also let us acquire knowledge, visit places, keep us informed of daily news and situations, meet personalities, etc.; in few words, photography opens the world to us.

Photography gives the photographer the freedom to show the world as its own perspective, as the way each one sees the world. It is the only tool that is capable of exposing the same world in such different ways and of sharing remarkable moments; but this wouldn’t be able without its best buddy: its camera.

Photos are worthier than a thousand of words.
